Your bridal bouquet is one of the most personal things you will carry on your wedding day, and photographing it well is something I take really seriously. Whether you went with a tight cluster of creamy garden roses, a lush cascading arrangement full of color, or something totally unexpected and uniquely you, your bouquet deserves images that do it justice.
I approach bouquet photography with the same intentionality your florist brought to designing it. I look for the light first, always. The way soft morning window light catches the petals of a white rose is completely different from the way golden afternoon sun hits a wildflower bouquet outdoors, and I am constantly thinking about how to make that work in your favor.
I also love capturing your bouquet in context, not just as a standalone detail shot but woven into the bigger story of your day. Your hands holding it during your first look. The way it pops against your gown during portraits. The bridesmaids lined up with their bouquets creating a wall of color that makes everyone stop scrolling.
No two bouquets are ever the same, and that is honestly one of my favorite things about this work. Are you working with a florist on something special for your Washington DC or Baltimore wedding? I would love to hear all about it!
