There’s a particular kind of nervous excitement that comes with starting something new. For us, that something was The BMORE Table, a brand-new Baltimore event vendor community. You plan and dream and talk it through a hundred times. Then the day finally arrives, and you just have to open the door and see who walks in.
That was me the afternoon of our first-ever gathering. I co-founded this community with my dear friend Alex of Wild Event Florals.
Why We Started a Baltimore Event Vendor Community
If you’ve followed Jennifer Mary Collective for a while, you know how much I love this industry. You also know how much I love the people in it. But over five years of photographing weddings and working events across Baltimore, Alex and I kept noticing the same thing. For all its beauty, this work can feel a little lonely.
There’s so much talent in this city. So many people pour everything into their craft. Yet we often work alongside each other without ever really knowing one another. Because of that, we didn’t want to keep wishing that room existed. So we built it.
The BMORE Table is a community for Baltimore’s event vendors. That means the photographers, florists, planners, and everyone else who brings special gatherings to life. Above all, it’s built on one simple belief: this city is full of talent, and there’s room for all of us to win.
What Our First Vendor Gathering Looked Like
Our pilot event was intentionally small and hand-picked. In fact, it was a founding table of people who had told us, in one way or another, that they craved the same genuine community we did.
We gathered. We talked. Honestly, we were a little blown away by how quickly the room warmed up.
What struck me most was the honesty. These weren’t surface-level “what do you do?” conversations. Instead, people opened up about the real things. They shared the challenges of running a business, the parts nobody talks about, and what they wish existed in our city. As a result, the insight everyone shared was genuinely invaluable. Even better, it’s already shaping how we think about what comes next.
Meet Our Founding Table
We will always be grateful to the vendors who took a chance on something brand new. Please go show these incredible Baltimore businesses some love:
- Jen of Jennifer Mary Collective
- Alex of Wild Event Florals
- Lexie of Avenue Events
- Bethany of Love, Rue
- Gabby of Midnight Planning
- Lauren of Salted Pages
- Rachel of Sunset Florals
- Haley of Jones Falls Mills Venues
Every one of them showed up with open hearts and honest words. Because of that, they made our first gathering everything we hoped it would be.
Connection Over Competition
Here’s the heart of what this Baltimore event vendor community is built on. Connection beats competition, every single time. After all, the best things in our industry get built together, not in isolation. Our founding table proved exactly that in a single afternoon.
What’s Next for The BMORE Table
This is only the start. We have big dreams for where The BMORE Table goes. We’re picturing more gatherings, more conversations, and more vendors finding their people right here in Baltimore.
So if you’re an event vendor feeling that same pull toward community, we’d love to have you. You can follow along with The BMORE Table on Instagram. Be sure to connect with my co-founder Alex at Wild Event Florals and @wild.event.florals too.
And if you’re planning a wedding or event and looking for a Baltimore photographer, I’d love to hear from you. You can get in touch here.
There’s a seat with your name on it.
